The Guardianship Accounting Registry assigns a verification level to each listing based on the depth of credential validation completed. Verification levels are defined in Professional Directory Standards v2.0 published by JimmyWagner.com.

Level 1 — Self-Reported

Professional information submitted by the attorney without independent verification. Data reflects the professional’s own representation of their credentials.

Documentation Standard:
  • Information accepted as submitted
  • No independent validation performed
  • Listing clearly labeled as “Level 1 — Self-Reported”
Review Frequency:

Self-reported data is accepted on submission. It is not independently re-validated unless the listing is upgraded to Level 2 or Level 3.

Level 2 — License Verified

Professional license verified against official state bar records. License number, admission date, jurisdiction, and current status confirmed.

Documentation Standard:
  • License number checked against issuing authority database
  • Status confirmed: Active, Inactive, or Suspended
  • Admission date and jurisdiction verified
  • Verification date and source recorded
Review Frequency:

Quarterly re-validation against official state bar records.

Level 3 — License + Disciplinary Review

License validated plus disciplinary history checked against official state bar disciplinary records. Includes summary status and source reference.

Documentation Standard:
  • All Level 2 requirements
  • Disciplinary history reviewed against public records
  • Summary status: No Public Discipline / Public Discipline Found
  • Source reference to disciplinary authority records
  • Review date documented
Review Frequency:

Quarterly license re-validation. Annual disciplinary record review.

Downgrade Triggers

A listing may be downgraded from a higher verification level under the following circumstances:

  • Issuing authority database becomes unavailable for re-validation
  • License status cannot be confirmed in a verification cycle
  • Disciplinary records become inaccessible
  • Material discrepancy found between listing data and official records

Downgrades are documented with date and reason. Upgraded re-verification may restore the previous level.
